How am i supposed to get a job?...?
When I was a teen 14 years ago, came from a very broken home, broke in the monetary area as well, I took my broken down bike and biked it to find a job and saved all my money till I could finally afford a cheap car then worked up from there. Think about how people did it when owning a car was just about out of the question. 2 miles is nothing on a bike. I rode mine in rain or shine, even in the snow a few times lol. I always had an extra change of clothes in case of getting soaked. We lived WAYYYYY out in the boonies of Northern Idaho, 8 miles out of town in the woods so it was a long ride but I did it and was in great shape too! If you don't have a bike start looking in the thrift stores. If you don't see one in there right now let them know you are looking and why and leave them your contact info; also, place an ad in craigslist that you are looking for a bike donation so you can go get a job... I have seen so many people throw bikes away or just give them away when they grow out of them or get a new one... bikes that are perfectly fine. Life can be tough but you need to find ways to be tougher. I have grown into a very well educated and responsible person mostly attributed to growing up in a tough environment and having to consistently find ways to do things that I could attain on my own. Good luck and start pedaling!
