For pet/animal lovers: how do you feel when you hear news stories about extreme animal cruelty like this one?

I think that punishment would be very fair. I can't stand people who hurt animals. It makes me sick and angry to hear stories like that. And yes, I do believe that people who inflict pain on animals will also do it to the weak people. It's a sad world we live in, and I wish that everyone had a greater appreciation for animals and nature.
