What does a candyfloss machine do exactly besides make candyfloss?

You put in sugar and flavouring. The machine heats up the sugar until it starts to melt and then spins it a high speed (like a spin drier) so it solidifies in thin threads that it dumps on the side of the machine. You then pull this off the side with a stick.
