How much should I "diversify" if I only have around 20k in my stocks portfolio?

it depends how much money you are using. there is no point in putting so little money in a stock that you are unable to make money. but diversification also involves different sectors. So maybe get a tech, financial and energy. or something like that, because if you own multiple oil names and oil goes down your screwed. it lowers your risk that way.
